How to choose a trading community

Ten checks worth running before you pay anybody for trade ideas. Each one is written so it can be answered with a link rather than a promise — and each is followed by where our own answer is, including the two we cannot fully answer yet.

How to use this

No other community is named here and nothing is ranked. The list is deliberately written to be run against anyone, this site included, because a checklist that only one company can pass is an advertisement rather than a checklist.

Every check below is answerable by opening a page. Take it somewhere else and ask for the same links. Where our own answer is incomplete, it says so and describes what is published today instead — there are two of those, and neither carries a date.

01

A published record that includes the losses

Why it matters

Anyone can screenshot a winner. What a record is worth depends entirely on whether the losing trades are in it, and a record you cannot see the shape of is a selection somebody made for you.

So ask where the stop-outs are. Ask what happens to a call that was cancelled, or never filled, or corrected after it was posted. If those quietly leave the record, every figure built on top of it has a hole you have no way of measuring.

How Axion answers it

Every eligible call closed in the window is on the performance page, wins and losses in one table. Stop-outs are scored as −1R with no exception. Cancellations and expiries are counted separately so they can never quietly improve a win rate, and a correction is recorded against the original signal instead of replacing it.

The ledger filters and downloads as a CSV, so the figures at the top of the page can be recomputed from the rows underneath them rather than taken on trust.

02

A method you can read, and disagree with

Why it matters

A number without its method is not information. A win rate means one thing if partial exits count and something else if they do not. A percentage means nothing at all until you know what size and what leverage produced it.

The method should be written down in enough detail to argue with, it should say what is excluded as plainly as what is counted, and it should be dated — a method that can be changed quietly is not a method.

How Axion answers it

The methodology sits on the performance page itself rather than behind a link: what counts, how R is calculated, and what is deliberately not published — no account return, no leveraged figure derived from R, no backtest mixed into live results. R is gross of fees, funding and slippage, and the page says so rather than leaving you to find out. Changes are versioned, and the version in force for a period is recorded with that period's figures.

The working is published as well as the method. The repository linked below holds the transparency log, a specification of how each record is built and hashed, a verifier for a single call, and a reproduce directory: a script that downloads the same ledger CSV anyone can download, recomputes every figure on the performance page from it, and prints its own answers beside the published ones so the two can be read line by line. The published figures are served as data as well as drawn on the page, so the comparison does not depend on how a page happens to be laid out, and the ledger carries the per-row costs the modelled follower figure is built from — that column can be rebuilt rather than taken on trust too.

03

Evidence per trade, not per screenshot

Why it matters

A summary is only as good as the entries behind it, and the ordinary way to test one is to pick a trade at random and follow it from the message that opened it to the message that closed it.

If the only evidence on offer is a cropped image, what you are being asked to trust is the crop. The question to ask is not whether there are screenshots. It is whether you can choose which trade to look at.

How Axion answers it

The captures on this site are published unedited and unredacted — entries, stops, targets and outcomes as they were posted. The how-it-works page follows one real trade from the analyst's original message through the bot's record of it to the exits, including the laddered entry that never filled and is reported as missed rather than dropped.

Every closed call is in the downloadable ledger with its entry, its exit and its result, so the trade you want to check is one you pick rather than one we picked.

Each of those rows opens a page for that one call: the levels as they were posted, the message that carried them, everything that happened afterwards in order, and the arithmetic that turned it into a result, with the numbers in it. Each call's record was hashed when it was written and that hash published in three places, one of them the Bitcoin blockchain — so the page recomputes the hash in your browser and hands you the links to check the rest yourself, without taking our word for any of it.

04

Education that is trying to make you independent

Why it matters

A room that only posts prices needs you to keep paying it forever, and it leaves you with nothing on the day you stop. The useful test is whether the material explains why — why this level, why that invalidation, why the size was what it was — or only what to press.

Ask what a member knows after a year that they did not know when they joined. If the honest answer is "which calls to copy", the education is decoration.

How Axion answers it

The library holds 58 lessons across 4 tracks, written from the material taught in the server, and 5 of them are free to read with no membership at all. Every call carries the reasoning behind it for the same reason.

It is stated plainly elsewhere on this site and it belongs here too: a member who no longer needs the signals is the outcome being aimed at.

05

A sizing tool that puts risk before leverage

Why it matters

Position size is where most of the damage is done, and it is decided before any of the analysis matters. A room that leads with leverage is teaching the order of operations backwards: leverage decides how much of an account a position ties up, not what being wrong costs.

What being wrong costs is the distance to the stop multiplied by the size you chose against it. A community that talks about the second number before the first is selling excitement.

How Axion answers it

The position-size calculator is public, free and needs no account. Enter an account size, a risk percent, an entry and a stop, and it returns the amount at risk first, then the units that buys, then the notional, and only then the leverage that notional implies for the margin you choose.

Members get the same calculator under every call in the member area, filled in with that call's own entry and stop. Nothing typed into it is sent to us, put in a cookie or attached to an account.

06

No guarantees, anywhere

Why it matters

Nobody can promise a trading outcome, so a promise tells you something about the person making it rather than about the market. This is also the cheapest check on the list: read the sales page, the pinned messages and the direct messages, and look for "guaranteed", "risk-free" or "cannot lose".

One appearance answers the question. It does not matter how good the rest of the room looks.

How Axion answers it

There is no guarantee on this site, and the risk disclosure sits in the footer of every page rather than inside terms nobody opens. Trading carries a substantial risk of loss, and leverage increases it.

Results are published in R multiple and raw price move, never as an account return, because the return depends on sizing decisions that are yours and not ours. "Guarantee a profit, or tell you a trade cannot lose" is on the published list of things our staff will never do, beside the other impersonation tells.

07

Support that is a route, not a direct message

Why it matters

You will need support at the worst possible moment — a payment that did not land, a role that never arrived, an account you cannot get back into. What matters is that there is one route, that it leaves a record, that it is not a stranger's DM, and that there is a way back in even if you lose access to the platform the community lives on.

Find out what the route is before you need it, and ask how long it usually takes.

How Axion answers it

Most membership questions do not need a person at all: cancelling or resuming auto-renew, pulling invoices, checking when access ends and re-syncing a Discord role are all self-service on the account page. Anything else is a private ticket in the server — one queue, staffed by the same people you talk to every day, and it leaves a record. If Discord is where you are locked out of, the support address on the safety page is the way back in.

Staff never open the conversation, and never ask for a password, a seed phrase or a payment inside one. On the second half of this check we would rather be straight with you: no target response time is published, so there is no figure here for you to hold us to. Ask in a ticket, and hold anyone else you are considering to the same question.

08

Prices that match inside and outside the community

Why it matters

One price is a price. A price that moves depending on which link you clicked, who messaged you or how long you hesitated is a sales tactic, and it usually arrives with a countdown attached.

It also tells you something about the room itself, because nobody inside it knows what anybody else paid.

How Axion answers it

The plans on the membership page are the same plans, at the same prices and the same durations, as the ticket route inside the server. Buying here is faster and lets you manage everything yourself afterwards, but it is an extra path rather than a replacement — buying in the server stays open and always will.

A membership bought that way can be claimed from your account page here, and the days you already paid for are never overwritten.

09

A free trial, before money changes hands

Why it matters

Everything above this can be read from outside. What cannot is whether the room is any good: how the analysts write, how a thread behaves when a trade is going badly, whether the education is pitched at your level.

A community that is confident about that will let you see it before you pay, and without a card. If the only way to find out is to buy, you have learned something about how it makes its money.

How Axion answers it

Three days of full premium access, claimed with one button inside the server. No card, which means there is nothing to cancel and nothing that renews by surprise. One per member, and it cannot run alongside a paid membership.

Memberships are not refundable once bought, and that is precisely why the trial exists — judge it first, then decide. There is also a free membership that is not a trial and does not expire, and plenty of people stay on it.

10

A way to check you are talking to the real community

Why it matters

A community large enough to be worth joining is large enough to be worth impersonating, and the impersonation almost always arrives as a direct message: a discount, a refund, an account problem, a domain one character off the real one.

Before you join anything, find the page that lists the real accounts, and check the thing in front of you against that page — not the page against the thing in front of you.

How Axion answers it

The official links page is that page: the one domain, the one invite, the payment processor, the two bots that post as us, and the accounts we do and do not yet operate. Anything claiming to be Axion that is not on it is not us.

Where the name collides with something unrelated, there is a page saying so plainly rather than leaving it to a search result — the AXN token and Axiom each have one. And the rule that catches most of it: Axion staff never message you first.

Then take the list somewhere else

The reason for writing the checks down is that they are answerable by anybody. If a community cannot show you the losing trades, cannot tell you how its numbers are calculated, cannot quote you the same price twice and cannot say where support lives, those are the findings — and none of them required an opinion about anyone.

If you would rather run the list on us from the inside, the trial takes no card. See how membership works →

Education, not advice. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell anything, and every example is one trade rather than a rule.
